Admission Procedure

Admission under Fee Waiver quota seats
- As per AICTE notification, Fee Waiver seats for economically weaker section deserving candidates are also available to take admission under this quota in B.Tech, MBA & MCA courses.
- The fee waiver seats will be limited to a maximum of 5% of the sanctioned intake in the course and will be over and above the sanctioned intake.
- No tuition fee will be charged to such candidates admitted against such seats. These seats are allotted through UPSEE counselling.
Admission to Kashmiri Migrants
- Direct admission to Kashmiri Migrants in the first year in each institute is to be made as per the latest instructions of AICTE and orders from the U.P. Govt.
- Such admissions will be over and above the sanctioned intake and generally limited to one admission per Institute affiliated with Dr APJ AKTU, Lucknow.
- The detailed information will be published in various newspapers and University website http://www.aktu.ac.in. The candidates opting for admission under this scheme need not appear University Entrance examination.
Admission through AICTE
- In the first year, direct admission to students of UTs of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh (PMSSS) under the Prime Minister’s special scholarship scheme is to be made as per the latest instructions of the Department of Higher Education MHRD, Govt of India.
- Such admissions will be over and above the sanctioned intake. J&K Cell deals with implementing the Prime Ministers Special Scholarship Scheme for J&K Students to pursue undergraduate studies outside the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
- The J & K cell is responsible for the proper implementation of the scheme to fulfil the objectives of the Prime Ministers Special Scholarship Scheme to J&K Students. For further details : www.aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in/
Admission through Management Quota
- The institute will fill 15% of the total intake available as per the laid down norms of Dr APJ AKTU and the State Government.
- B Tech Course candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with compulsory subjects, i.e., Physics and Mathematics and one optional subject as chemistry and obtained at least 60% marks in the above subjects taken together.
- MBA Course candidate must have passed Bachelor’s degree course of three years minimum duration from any recognised Indian University; or its equivalent, recognised by A.I.U securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
Admission through Vacant Seat Counselling
- After counselling Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, the vacant seats shall be filled by the Institute as per the laid down norms of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow.
- For B. Tech, a first-year admission candidate must have passed the intermediate examination of the U.P. Board or the 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with compulsory subjects, i.e., Physics and Mathematics and one optional subject as chemistry and obtained at least 60% marks in the above subjects taken together.
