JEE Advanced 2022 – IIT Bombay has issued the new JEE Advanced 2022 exam dates on the official website – jeeadv.ac.in. As per the new schedule, the JEE Advanced 2022 exam will be held on August 28. Moreover, the authorities will release the JEE Advanced 2022 application form in online mode on August 7. Interested candidates can fill the application form of JEE Advanced 2022 till August 11.

The JEE Advanced exam 2022 will be conducted in the form of two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both the papers are prepared from the JEE Advanced 2022 syllabus as released by the authorities. It is important for the candidates to know that the JEE Advanced exam will be conducted in two shifts. And, admission to IITs will be through counselling conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

JEE Advanced 2022 Eligibility Criteria

JEE Advanced eligibility criteria are the conditions that every candidate has to fulfil in order to be eligible for appearing in the exam and admission process. The criteria of minimum 75% marks in class XII Board exams or rank among the top 20 percentile in class 12 examinations have been waived off. Candidates who are found ineligible will be disqualified for the admission. JEE Advanced 2022 eligibility criteria have been listed out below:

Age LimitGeneral category candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1997. Relaxation of 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category.
Qualifying ExaminationA candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2021 or 2022 with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates who had appeared in Class XII (or equivalent) examination, for the first time in 2020 or earlier, are NOT eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2022.
JEE MainThe candidates should have qualified the JEE Main examination and must be in the top 2,50,000 candidates in order of merit. The cutoff for admissions into IITs should also be met by the candidates. There will be overall 10% general EWS category candidates will be shortlisted, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and the remaining 40.5% is OPEN for all. The category distribution of top 250000 candidates is given in the table below.
Number of AttemptsFor JEE Advanced, the candidates would be able to attempt the examination two times in two consecutive years.
IIT AdmissionsThe candidates should have never taken admission in an IIT irrespective of whether they continued the programme or not or just accepted the seat by reporting at the centre. The candidates who have earlier joined any IIT but had subsequently cancelled their admission will also not be termed eligible for JEE Advanced.

JEE Advanced 2022 Application Process

The JEE Advanced 2022 registration dates are not available on the official website. The JEE Advanced 2022 application form will be available on its official website jeeadv.ac.in from August 7 to 11, 2022. Candidates will have to submit the application form of JEE advanced 2022 before the last date. Candidates have to register and fill the application form which includes details about personal, academic, parents, and communication information. How to fill JEE Advanced Application Form 2022?

Registration – Firstly, the candidates will have to use their JEE Main 2022 roll number and password to log in. Any additional information which has to be provided had to be entered by the candidates.

Uploading of Documents – Next, the candidates have to scan the required documents and upload it as per the specifications mentioned by the authorities. The documents to be uploaded are – 10th standard certificate/birth certificate, 12th standard examination mark sheet, and category certificate (if applicable).

Payment Process – Registration fee has to be paid by the candidates online (net banking/credit card/debit card) or offline mode (cash using SBI option). The fee is different as per the category that the candidate belongs to.

Submission and Print Out of Confirmation Page – Finally, the candidates have to submit the application form and print out the confirmation page for further reference.

JEE Advanced 2022 Exam Pattern

The exam authorities have released the official exam pattern of JEE Advanced in its information brochure. Detailed information about the examination is present in the JEE Advanced 2022 exam pattern. JEE Advanced 2022 Cutoff

JEE Advanced 2022 cutoff acts as the screening process for inclusion in the rank list and for admission to the IITs. The cutoff is divided into two parts – qualifying cutoff and admission cutoff. The qualifying cutoff of JEE Advanced 2022 consists of the minimum marks that the candidates have to secure to be listed out in the rank list. Admission cutoff is the minimum rank which the candidates will have to secure to have higher chances of admissions into the participating institutes. JEE Advanced 2022 Counselling

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is conducting the counselling for admission of JEE Advanced qualified candidates. The authorities will release the JoSAA 2022 seat allotment phase wise on its official website. The exam conducting authority will release the JoSAA mock seat allotment at the official website. Candidates will have to register and select their choice of colleges and courses for the 1st round JoSAA 2022 counselling and seat allotment process.
