AP MDS 2026 Phase 2 Web Options Start September 21

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Andhra Pradesh has announced the Phase 2 web options schedule for PG Dental (MDS/Diploma) counselling 2026 under the Competent Authority Quota (CQ) for the 2026–27 academic session.

According to the notification dated September 19, 2026, eligible candidates can exercise their web options for MDS and PG Dental Diploma seats available in government and private non-minority dental colleges affiliated with Dr. NTR UHS.

Candidates must log in to the counselling portal to submit their choices. NTRUHS has also advised candidates to go through the user manual and web-options procedure before submitting preferences.

22 MDS Seats Vacant After Phase 1

The vacancy matrix attached to the notification shows 22 vacant seats after Phase 1 counselling across different PG Dental specialties and participating colleges. These include seats in specialties such as Orthodontics, Prosthodontics, Conservative Dentistry, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine & Radiology, Periodontics, Pedodontics, Oral Pathology and Public Health Dentistry.

The university has clarified that virtual vacancies created when candidates move from their Phase 1 seat to another college or course during Phase 2 will also be added and allotted during the same counselling process. 

Who Can Participate in Phase 2?

Candidates eligible to exercise web options include those who:

  • Were allotted and reported to a Phase 1 seat.
  • Were not allotted any seat in Phase 1.
  • Were allotted a seat in Phase 1 but did not report or join. However, the same unjoined Phase 1 seat will not be available to that candidate again in Phase 2.
  • Are holding a Phase 1 seat and want to participate for upgradation

NTRUHS has stated that there is no limit on the number of web options. Candidates may select any number of eligible colleges and specialties according to their preference. 

University Fee

Candidates who receive a seat will have to pay a university fee of ₹25,600 online to download the allotment order. Candidates who already paid this fee during Phase 1 are not required to pay it again. 

The notified tuition fee for Competent Authority Quota seats in private unaided dental colleges is:

Selected candidates must report to the allotted college within the period mentioned in their allotment letter, produce original certificates, pay the applicable tuition fee and complete the admission process. Failure to meet the required admission conditions within the prescribed period may result in cancellation of the allotment
