Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada, has issued three notifications dated 29 September 2026 allowing candidates to exit their joined seats and get their fees back. They cover MBBS Management Quota (Category B1/B2), MBBS Competent Authority Quota and BDS Competent Authority Quota for the 2026-27 academic year. Candidates must submit their requests to the Principal by 5:00 PM on 30 September 2026. Principals must return the certificates and fees and freeze the data by 9:00 PM on 30 September 2026.

MBBS Management Quota (B1/B2): Phase 1 Free Exit

The notification follows the Phase 1 Management Quota allotments released on 16 September 2026.

• Candidates who exit can take part in MQ Phase 2 counselling. They have no right to claim the seat they left in Phase 2 or later counselling.
• Seats vacated before the deadline are treated as not reported or not joined and are filled in Phase 2.
• After the Free Exit process, candidates who hold Phase 1 seats become part of Phase 2, and Phase 2 rules apply to them.

MBBS Competent Authority Quota: Phase 2 Free Exit

• Phase 2 reported or joined candidates can exit until 30 September 2026, 5:00 PM.
• Candidates who take Free Exit are not eligible for further rounds of Competent Authority Quota counselling. They can still join MQ Phase 2 of NTRUHS if a seat is allotted.
• Seats vacated before the deadline are filled in Phase 3.
• Candidates who stay become part of Phase 3 and can use web options for it. Candidates who did not report to their Phase 2 college can choose any college except the one they did not join.

BDS Competent Authority Quota: Phase 1 Free Exit

• Reported or joined Phase 1 candidates can exit until 30 September 2026, 5:00 PM.
• Candidates who take Free Exit are not eligible for further Competent Authority Quota phases in 2026-27. They can join MQ Phase 1 of NTRUHS if a seat is allotted.
• Vacated seats are filled in Phase 2. Candidates who stay become part of Phase 2 and can use web options for it.
• Candidates who did not report to their Phase 1 college can choose any college except the one they did not join.

Rules Common to All Three Notifications

• Refund on exit: Principals must accept Free Exit requests in the prescribed format. They must return the original certificates and the entire tuition fee and other fees immediately.
• No withdrawal after the deadline: No candidate can withdraw from a joined seat in that phase once the deadline passes.
• No resignation later: Reported candidates who do not use Free Exit cannot resign their seat from Phase 3 counselling until admissions close.
• Public holidays: All public holidays are treated as working days.
• Application form: Candidates must fill the application proforma. It asks for name, registration ID, NEET UG 2026 rank and roll number, phone number, address, reason for exit, and signatures of the parent or guardian and the candidate.

Competent Authority Quota candidates should note the caution in their notices. Free Exit ends their eligibility for further Competent Authority Quota rounds in 2026-27, so the notices advise them to take an informed decision.
