The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, has announced the schedule for the 3rd Round Online Counselling for admission into 1st year MBBS/BDS courses for the 2026 session, under State Quota seats in the Government Medical and Dental Colleges of Assam.

Who Can Participate

Candidates who have qualified NEET-UG 2026, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), and who fulfill the eligibility criteria under The Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into 1st Year MBBS/BDS Courses) Rules, 2017 (Amended up to 2026), along with meeting the NEET-UG 2026 cut-off score, are eligible to participate.

Important: Candidates who already registered and participated in Round 1 and Round 2 state counselling do not need to register again and can directly take part in online choice filling for Round 3, whether for fresh allotment or a change of college.

Counselling Schedule

Registration and all subsequent stages will be conducted through the official DME Assam portal: www.dme.assam.gov.in

Choices not locked manually by the candidate before the deadline will be automatically locked on 05/10/2026 by 11:59 PM. Provisionally selected candidates must report and get admitted to their allotted institutions within the specified reporting window.

Important Note

Candidates who have already joined or are currently holding seats after Round 3 of counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for the 2026 session are not eligible to participate in this counselling round and will be weeded out from the process.
