Assam NEET PG Provisional Merit List 2026 has been released. Candidates can now check their merit position and counselling eligibility.
The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, has released the provisional merit list of NEET PG 2026 for Assam state quota seats. The list was provided by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) and is available on the official website, dme.assam.gov.in. It is meant for admission to 50% of the postgraduate seats in the government medical colleges of Assam and B.B.C.I., Guwahati, for the 2026 session.

Eligibility for Assam PG counselling
- The candidate must have appeared in NEET PG 2026 and secured the cut-off score declared by NBEMS, or above
- The candidate must be eligible under the Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021, as amended up to date
- The candidate’s name and NEET PG 2026 roll number must appear in the state provisional merit list
What to do if your name is missing
- Candidates who are eligible under the PG rules but are not in the list must apply on plain paper, with relevant documents, to the Director of Medical Education
- The application must be submitted by hand at the DME office, 2nd floor, Room No. 5, Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati-22
- The last date is 16 October 2026, during office hours
- Applications sent by post or email will not be accepted
- Candidates should collect an acknowledgement receipt at the time of submission
- No application will be considered after the last date
Assam NEET PG counselling 2026 dates
- Online counselling for the 50% PG state quota seats will follow the schedule published by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC)
- The dates will be announced on dme.assam.gov.in
- MCC Round 1 registration for All India Quota seats runs from 12 to 21 October 2026
