The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has issued an educational notice for candidates provisionally selected under the PwD (Divyang) category after the first round of online counselling for admission to 1st-year MBBS/BDS courses in the Government Medical and Dental Colleges of Assam for the 2026 session.

Physical Verification Scheduled on September 5

Candidates who appeared before the Medical Board at GMC, Guwahati, for verification of their disability status on September 3 and 4, 2026, have been directed to appear physically at the Office of the DME, Assam, Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati-22.

The physical verification is scheduled for September 5, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Candidates must bring all relevant certificates in original for further verification.

Admission Eligibility After Verification

The notice clarifies that only candidates who are verified and found eligible during this process will be allowed admission to 1st-year MBBS/BDS courses under the PwD (Divyang) category in the Government Medical and Dental Colleges of Assam.

The admission-related process will be conducted on the same day, September 5, 2026, at the Office of the DME, Assam.
