The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has extended the 1st Round online counselling choice-filling process for MBBS and BDS admissions in Assam Government Medical and Dental Colleges for the 2026 session.

The extension follows the addition of Bongaigaon Medical College, Bongaigaon to the list of participating medical colleges. 

Key Updates

• Choice Filling: 29 August 2026 to 30 August 2026, up to 5:00 PM
• Revised Seat Matrix: To be uploaded after the addition of Bongaigaon Medical College.
• Previously Locked Choices: All previously locked choices will be opened, allowing candidates to modify and re-lock their preferences.
• Choice Locking: 30 August 2026, from 4:00 PM to 11:55 PM
• Choices will be automatically locked after the deadline if not locked earlier.
• Seat Allotment Processing: 31 August to 1 September 2026
• Provisional Selection List: 2 September 2026
• Admission: 4 or 5 September 2026 during office hours.
