Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, has issued a notice for the Provisional Allocation of a MBBS/BDS Seat under the 2nd Round of Online Counselling, Session 2026, in compliance with a Punjab & Haryana High Court judgment. The notice was released on 21.09.2026.

Background

The allotment has been made in compliance with the judgment dated 18.09.2026 passed by the Hon'ble High Court of Punjab & Haryana at Chandigarh in CWP-26785-2026 (O&M), Rachit Kotru Vs. State of Punjab and others. Pursuant to this order, a vacancy arose under the J&K Category against the Government Quota at Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Bathinda. The allotment of this vacant seat has been processed strictly as per merit and the choices/preferences of colleges given by the candidates.

As per the notice, candidates and stakeholders should note the following:

• The seat allocation is purely provisional and is subject to verification and authentication of the original documents/certificates submitted by the candidate, along with determination of eligibility as per applicable rules, regulations, the prospectus, and Government instructions.
• A provisional allocation does not confer any right upon the candidate to claim admission to the allotted course or college. Admission remains subject to successful verification of all requisite documents.
• If, at any stage, it is found that a candidate has withheld, concealed, suppressed, or misrepresented any material fact or information, or furnished false, incorrect, or misleading information/documents, or otherwise obtained the provisional allocation through fraud or misrepresentation, the provisional allocation/admission shall be liable to cancellation forthwith, without prejudice to any other action that may be taken under applicable rules/law.
