CBSE Intensifies Action Against Misinformation on Paper Leaks
New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a stern warning against misinformation and false claims regarding paper leaks as the Class X and XII board examinations continue. With exams running until April 4, 2025, CBSE remains committed to ensuring a fair and transparent process.
The Board has detected a surge in baseless rumours on social media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter). These false claims allege access to 2025 examination question papers, creating unnecessary panic among students and parents. CBSE has categorically dismissed these allegations as unfounded, attributing them to malicious actors attempting to disrupt the examination process.
To combat this issue, CBSE has intensified social media monitoring and is working closely with law enforcement agencies to identify and take legal action against those spreading misinformation. The Board has warned that students involved in such activities will face strict consequences under its UNFAIR MEANS rules and may also face prosecution under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

In an official advisory, CBSE has urged parents to counsel their children against engaging with or believing unverified information. The Board has emphasized that students, parents, and schools should rely only on official CBSE communications for accurate updates. These updates are available on CBSE’s official website (www.cbse.gov.in) and verified public channels.
CBSE has also urged the public to exercise caution and refrain from sharing unverified news during the examination period. The Board has assured that it will take strict legal action against individuals or groups responsible for spreading false information.
As the exams progress, CBSE has implemented enhanced security protocols and real-time monitoring at examination centers to ensure smooth conduct. The Board has called on all stakeholders to uphold the integrity of the examinations and support students in performing to the best of their abilities.
For official updates and announcements, students and parents should visit CBSE’s official website and verified communication channels.
