The Directorate of Medical Education (Office of the Commissioner, Medical Education), Chhattisgarh, has released the Round 3 counselling schedule for MBBS and BDS courses under NEET UG 2026. Two notices dated 30 September 2026 were issued together. One gives the schedule for new registration and choice filling. The other lists the documents NRI quota candidates must submit. The office has also published the clear vacancy list as on 28 September 2026, which shows 424 seats.

Chhattisgarh NEET UG 2026 Round 3 Schedule

Times are server time. Candidates must read the Chhattisgarh Medical, Dental and Physiotherapy Undergraduate Admission Rules, 2025, including the sections on reservation, counselling process and bond, before applying. Applications and choice filling are on cgdme.in and cgdme.admissions.nic.in.

Round 3 Vacancy: 424 Seats

The clear vacancy list dated 28 September 2026 shows 424 seats in total:

• MBBS: 200 seats across government, management and NRI quotas
• BDS: 224 seats across government, management and minority quotas
• MBBS NRI quota: 129 seats, with the most at Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences (34), Abhishek I Mishra Memorial Medical College, Bhilai (35), Shri Rawatpura Sarkar Institute of Medical Sciences (21) and Maa Padmawati Institute of Medical Sciences (18)

Most of the seats are in the open category, with some in SC, ST, OBC, EWS and ST-PVTG categories.

Important Rules for Round 3 Candidates

• Fresh choice filling for registered candidates: The choices that already-registered candidates made earlier have become vacant, so they must fill their choices again. Candidates who do not will not be allotted a seat in Round 3.
• Government to private colleges: Registered candidates who chose only government colleges earlier must pay the difference between the registration fee for private colleges and the fee they already paid before they can choose private colleges.
• Forfeiture of fee: A candidate who does not take admission after allotment, or who leaves the seat after joining, forfeits the registration fee. Candidates in this position must pay the fee again to take part in Round 3.
• Ineligible candidates: Candidates who are not eligible under Rule 7(g)(3) of the admission rules will not be allowed to register in later rounds.
• Edits: Editing the online application is free until the last date. Entries taken directly from the exam result data, along with the mobile number and email address entered by the candidate, cannot be changed.
• Choose only colleges you want: Candidates are advised to select only the colleges where they wish to take admission.

NRI Quota Document Submission

Under the MCC guidelines dated 27 May 2026 (Notice No. U-11011/07/2025-MEC) and Rule 13 of the state admission rules, candidates seeking NRI quota seats in Round 3 must send their documents by email.

Chhattisgarh NEET UG Round 3 Clear Vacancy List PDF

Documents required:

• A lineage or family tree certificate issued by a tehsildar or a higher competent authority, showing the relationship between the candidate and the NRI sponsor
• A self-attested copy of the NRI's passport
• Proof of the NRI's residence abroad, such as a valid visa, green card, citizenship certificate, or proof of residence or work abroad
• An Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card, if applicable
• A bank statement of an NRI, NRE or equivalent account, if applicable
• A work permit or green card, if applicable
• Legal guardian documents, if the claim is made through a guardian
• Any other document required under Rule 13, if applicable

The documents will be checked against the originals at the time of admission. Candidates found ineligible will not get an NRI quota seat, but their application will not be rejected. They stay in counselling under their other eligible category. NRI quota candidates cannot register or fill choices separately. They must complete the general online registration and choice filling within the schedule.
