The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chhattisgarh has issued an important notice regarding seat resignation/withdrawal for candidates admitted through the first round of Chhattisgarh State NEET UG 2026 counselling for MBBS and BDS courses.

As per the official notice dated September 7, 2026, candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 of the state counselling and now wish to cancel or resign from their allotted admission can use the designated Seat Resign Portal / Seat Withdrawal Portal.

Seat Withdrawal Window

The Seat Resign/Withdrawal facility has been made available from September 7, 2026, at 2:30 PM (Server Time). Candidates can complete the seat resignation or admission cancellation process through the portal until September 10, 2026, up to 12:00 Noon (Server Time).

Candidates Must Complete the Process Within the Deadline

Candidates who wish to resign from their allotted seat have been advised to report to their allotted institution and complete the required admission cancellation/resignation formalities within the prescribed timeline.

The authority has clarified that candidates can complete the process of cancelling/resigning from their admission at their allotted institution up to the specified deadline.

The notice has been issued by the Office of the Commissioner, Medical Education, Chhattisgarh and is applicable to candidates admitted through the first phase of the state NEET UG counselling process for the 2026 academic session.

Important Note for Candidates

Candidates planning to resign from their Round 1 MBBS or BDS seat should ensure that the process is completed before September 10, 2026, at 12:00 Noon. Applicants are advised to carefully follow the instructions issued by the counselling authority and their allotted college while completing the resignation process.
