NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration process for the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET UG) 2025 today, March 22, 2025. Students who meet the eligibility criteria and have not yet applied must complete the application process on the official website – cuet.nta.nic.in by 11:50 PM. Applicants can make fee payments until March 23, 2025.

CUET UG 2025 is scheduled to take place from May 8 to June 1 in a computer-based test (CBT) format. This entrance exam facilitates admissions to undergraduate programs offered by 304 universities, including central, state, private, and deemed institutions.

According to University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, these 304 universities will use CUET UG 2025 scores for their admission process.

Key Updates for CUET UG 2025

• Delhi University (DU): Students without mathematics can apply for the BCom (Honours) program through CUET. However, candidates must appear for CUET UG 2025 in the subjects they passed or appeared for in Class 12.

• Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI): The university has increased the number of programs accepting CUET UG scores from 20 to 25 this year.

• Exam Changes: CUET UG 2025 introduces the CBT mode, reduces the number of examination cities, includes fewer papers, and mandates 50 compulsory questions per paper.

Application Correction Window

NTA will open the application correction window from March 24 to March 26, enabling candidates to rectify errors or update details in their submitted applications.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) from a recognized board are eligible to apply.

Application Fees

• General Category: ₹1,000

• OBC-NCL Category: ₹900

• SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender: ₹800

• Centres Outside India: ₹4,500

Steps to Apply for CUET UG 2025

1. Visit cuet.nta.nic.in.

2. Click on the "Register" button on the homepage.

3. Enter basic details to create a registration number and password.

4. Log in using the credentials and fill in personal and academic details.

5. Upload scanned images of your photograph, signature, and applicable certificates (category and PwBD).

6. Pay the examination fee online.

7. Review the application form and submit it.

Candidates are advised to complete the application process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
