Dr. NTRUHS Issues Fraud Alert for MBBS & PG Medical Admissions 2026
The Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (Dr. NTRUHS), Andhra Pradesh, has issued a public advisory warning MBBS, BDS, PG Medical, and Dental aspirants against fraudulent admission claims made by brokers, consultants, YouTubers, social media groups, and unauthorized agencies. The university has urged students and parents to rely only on the official counselling process and avoid anyone promising guaranteed admissions.
According to the advisory, fraudsters often claim to have links with government officials, university authorities, or political leaders and may even use forged documents to convince candidates. The university clarified that no individual or organization can influence the admission process.
Admissions Based Only on Merit
Dr. NTRUHS stated that admissions to UG and PG Medical/Dental courses under the State Quota are conducted exclusively through the official online counselling process. Seat allotment is strictly based on:
- NEET Rank (Merit)
- Reservation Rules
- Web Options submitted by eligible candidates
For Management (B-Category) and NRI Quota seats, admissions are also allotted on the basis of NEET merit and phase-wise web options.
University Warns Against Fake Admission Promises
The advisory cautions students against believing claims such as:
- Guaranteed MBBS/BDS seats
- Direct admissions
- Admission with low NEET scores
- Admission without NEET
- Lower-fee admissions through unofficial channels
The university warned that such offers are fraudulent and may result in financial loss and legal complications.
Important Advice for Candidates
Candidates have been advised to:
- Never pay money to individuals or private accounts for admissions.
- Avoid sharing User ID, Password, OTP, or login credentials with anyone.
- Verify all admission-related information only through the official Dr. NTRUHS website.
- Report any suspected fraud to the police, cyber crime authorities, or the university.
Strict Warning
The university reiterated that there are no shortcuts to securing a medical or dental seat. Every admission is granted strictly on merit and through the prescribed counselling process. It also warned that preparing or using forged admission documents is a punishable offence under applicable laws.
