
IIT Roorkee issues revised admit cards after exam centre changes – Download now!
IIT Roorkee will resume the GATE 2025 exam from tomorrow, with revised exam centres for February 15 and 16. Due to Mahakumbh, the institute has relocated the exam centres from Prayagraj to Lucknow, as per the latest updates.
To accommodate these changes, IIT Roorkee has issued new admit cards for candidates appearing on February 15 and 16. Candidates can download their updated admit cards from the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in, by using their enrollment ID and password. Each admit card includes essential details such as the candidate’s photograph, enrollment ID, signature, paper code, exam date, exam timings, and exam day guidelines.
The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted in two sessions each day:

- Forenoon session: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- Afternoon session: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Exam Schedule:
- February 15:
- Forenoon session: CY, AE, DA, ES, and PI
- Afternoon session: EC, GE, XH, BM, and EY
- February 16:
- Forenoon session: CE1, GG, CH, PH, and BT
- Afternoon session: CE2, ST, XE, XL, and MN
Earlier, IIT Roorkee had also changed the exam centres for the February 1 and 2 exams due to Mahakumbh. The institute will announce the GATE 2025 results on March 19.
GATE 2025 Marking Scheme
- Each question carries one or two marks.
- Negative marking applies to multiple-choice questions (MCQs):
- One-mark MCQ: 1/3 mark deducted for an incorrect answer.
- Two-mark MCQ: 2/3 mark deducted for an incorrect answer.
- No negative marking for incorrect answers in multiple-select questions (MSQs) and numerical answer type (NAT) questions.
- No partial marking applies to any question.
Candidates must carefully follow the updated guidelines and ensure they download the correct admit card before the exam.
