The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate & Postgraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC & ACPPGMEC), Government of Gujarat, has released the procedure for cancelling a confirmed admission. The document refers to the ACPPGMEC admission order and a “PG admission” in the authority letter format, so it appears aimed at postgraduate medical candidates.

Who needs to follow this procedure

  • Candidates who have confirmed their admission by submitting original documents at the Help Center and now want to cancel it
  • Such candidates must go in person to the Help Center where they reported for admission

Seat availability after cancellation

Study MBBS Abroad 2025-26, Fees 2 lakh Per Year.

  • The same seat will remain available to the candidate in the subsequent round of admission
  • Candidates can take part in the next round of counselling

If the candidate cannot attend in person

  • Parents or representatives can come to the Help Center with an “Authority Letter” signed by the candidate
  • Without the Authority Letter, parents or representatives will not be able to collect the original documents
  • The authority letter format is provided on page 2 of the official document
  • The person bringing the letter must carry valid ID proof, original and photocopy. Accepted IDs are Driving License, Income Tax PAN Card, Passport, Election Card or Aadhaar Card
  • The letter requires recent passport-size photographs of both the candidate and the authority holder
  • It also asks for the candidate’s User ID, General Merit No., NRI Merit No., Category Merit No. and PWD Category Merit No., along with the reason for absence
  • The authority holder can be the candidate’s mother, father, grandfather, grandmother, brother, sister or guardian
  • The letter must be signed by the parents, the candidate and the authority holder

Documents to be submitted for cancellation

Candidates must submit the following documents before collecting their original documents:

  • An application to cancel the admission
  • Original admission order of ACPPGMEC
  • Photocopy of the fee receipt or challan
  • Self-attested photocopy of the allotment letter of All India Quota, Deemed, Central Universities or Other State Counselling, or an application of cancellation if the candidate is not admitted anywhere
  • Photocopy of ID proof
  • Authority letter, if parents or representatives are collecting the documents

Fee adjustment and refund

  • Fees will be adjusted if the candidate takes admission in the 3rd round
  • Fees will be refunded after completion of the admission process if the candidate does not take admission anywhere
