The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) has released the Round 1 Non-Reported Candidate List and the Vacant Seats Chart After Round 1 for MBBS and BDS admissions for the academic year 2026-27.

The latest update provides important information for candidates preparing to participate in the upcoming Round 2 counselling in Gujarat.

1,219 Candidates Did Not Report After Round 1

According to the list dated September 5, 2026, a total of 1,219 candidates who were allotted MBBS or BDS seats in Round 1 did not report to their allotted institutes to complete the admission process.

The non-reported candidates list contains details such as:

• Medical/Dental branch
• Admission category
• Seat type
• Government Quota
• Management Quota
• NRI Quota

Candidates who failed to report as required may lose their claim to the allotted seat, with the corresponding seats being considered for subsequent counselling as per the applicable rules.

943 Vacant Seats After Round 1

The vacant seat chart published after Round 1 shows 943 seats vacant due to non-conversion. These include 785 Medical seats and 158 Dental seats.

Quota-Wise Vacancy

A major share of the vacant seats is under the NRI Quota.

Of the 943 vacant seats, 908 seats are under the NRI Quota, while 35 seats are under the Government Quota.

Seats Across Major Gujarat Medical Colleges

The vacancies cover several government and self-financed medical and dental institutions across Gujarat. The list includes seats associated with institutes such as B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad, Government Medical College, Surat and various GMERS Medical Colleges.

NRI quota vacancies are also reported across institutes including GMERS Medical College at Sola Ahmedabad, Gotri Vadodara and Gandhinagar, among others.
