Allotted Category May Differ From Applied Category
For each candidate, the list shows the applied quota and category and the allotted quota and category. In several cases the two are different. For example, some candidates who applied under OBC, SC, ST or EWS have been allotted a seat in the General category. Some candidates who applied under the HP Quota have been allotted a seat in the Management Quota. Candidates should check both columns carefully.
Key Points From the AMRU Notice
- The allotment is provisional. AMRU says it is only indicative and subject to change. Candidates cannot claim any right to the seat on the basis of it, and it cannot be challenged before a court of law.
- Category documents must be valid. Candidates claiming a reserved category or quota must ensure that all certificates are valid, updated and in the format given in the Prospectus. If a certificate is invalid or outdated, or a prescribed document is not submitted, the candidate will not be entitled to the benefit of that category or quota.
- Final approval rests with the college. A provisional allotment does not give any right of admission. Final eligibility and category claims are subject to verification and approval by the Admission Committee of the concerned institute.
- Do not report to the college yet. Candidates should approach the allotted college only after the final seat allotment is declared and after downloading the provisional allotment letter from their login. Admission will not be considered without seat allocation by AMRU.
