HP MDS Round 3 Revised Schedule 2026 Released

Candidates can now check the updated counselling dates, choice filling, seat allotment and college reporting schedule for MDS admissions in Himachal Pradesh.

Atal Medical & Research University (AMRU), Himachal Pradesh, has invited fresh applications for MDS Round 3 counselling for the 2026-27 session. In a notice dated October 15, 2026, AMRU released the HP MDS round 3 counselling 2026 revised schedule. The notice follows the lowering of the minimum qualifying percentile for NEET MDS 2026 by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on October 14, 2026.

*The notice prints the vacancy display date as 15.10.2025. The vacancy list was released on October 15, 2026, so this is most likely a typing error.

Why Were Fresh Applications Invited?

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) lowered the minimum qualifying percentile for NEET MDS 2026 in a letter dated October 12, 2026. NBEMS announced the revised cut-offs on October 14, 2026, and AMRU has now opened fresh applications so that candidates who become eligible can join the third round.

NBEMS has lowered the qualifying percentile by 20.576 for each category. The revised cut-offs, out of 960 marks, are:

NBEMS has said the NEET MDS 2026 ranks published on June 2, 2026 have not changed. Candidature is purely provisional and depends on meeting the eligibility criteria in the NEET MDS 2026 Information Bulletin and on Face ID or biometric verification wherever required.

Seat Vacancy for Round 3

AMRU has also released the provisional seat vacancy for Round 3. It lists 53 vacant MDS seats across four dental colleges in Himachal Pradesh. AMRU has noted that more seats may become available through upgradation or withdrawal during the round.

What Candidates Should Do

Apply online between October 15 and 16, 2026 if you became eligible after the percentile cut.
Check the revised merit list on October 17, 2026.
Fill and lock choices of course, college and quota between October 18 and 20, 2026.
Join the allotted college and course on October 24, 2026.
