The Admission Oversight Committee (AOC), Karnataka, has released a strict notice regarding illegal fee collection by some medical colleges during UG and PG admissions for the academic year 2026-27.

According to the notice:

• Some colleges are allegedly collecting university fees again from students, even though the amount has already been paid to the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) during allotment.
• Certain colleges are also demanding caution money deposits and additional college fees that are not permitted under the consensual agreement with the State Government.
• The agreement only allows collection of ₹30,000 towards Skill Lab and miscellaneous fees.

Students who are being forced to pay unauthorized fees are advised to approach the Admission Oversight Committee for redressal.
