IPU BAMS/BHMS Counselling 2026: Registration and Choice Filling Begin - Eligible candidates can now complete registration and submit their choices through the official counselling portal.

New Delhi: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has released the counselling schedules for BAMS (Code 153) and BHMS (Code 154) for the 2026-27 session. Both notifications are dated October 1, 2026. Registration opens on October 5, 2026, and the tentative result for both programmes is October 8, 2026. The BHMS notification is for Round 2.

Admissions to both programmes will be made purely on merit, based on NEET UG 2026 All India Rank and the qualifying percentile. The university has said the category specified in the NEET UG 2026 form will not change.

IPU BAMS Counselling 2026 Schedule

Study MBBS Abroad 2025-26, Fees 2 lakh Per Year.

Seat details: The BAMS programme is offered at Ch. Brahm Prakash Ayurved Charak Sansthan, Khera Dabar, Najafgarh, Delhi. Its 125 seats, including EWS, are divided into 85% State Quota and 15% All India Quota.

  • The university will counsel for the 85% State Quota seats. Only candidates who studied 10+2 and passed the qualifying examination from a school or college in Delhi are eligible.
  • The 15% All India Quota seats are filled through centralised counselling by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), DGHS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, not by the university.

For State Quota seats in BHMS, only candidates who studied 10+2 from a school or college in Delhi are eligible for the 85% Delhi State Quota seats.

Who Is Eligible for IPU BHMS Round 2?

  • Freshly registered candidates.
  • Candidates who registered and filled choices but were not allotted a seat in Round 1.
  • Candidates whose allotted seat was cancelled for not uploading a valid reserved category certificate, which converted them to General Category.
  • Candidates who reported at the allotted institute in Round 1 and submitted a "Float" willingness for upgradation in Round 2.

Who Is Not Eligible for BHMS Round 2?

  • Candidates not registered for counselling.
  • Candidates who registered but did not fill choices or preferences.
  • Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 who did not pay the Part Academic Fee.
  • Candidates who paid the Part Academic Fee and submitted a "Freeze" willingness.
  • Candidates who paid the fee and chose "Freeze/Float" but did not report at the allotted college.
  • Candidates who withdrew their allotted seat from Round 1.

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • Edit window (BHMS): Candidates can correct their Category, Sub-Category and Region (based on where the Class 12 qualifying exam was passed, in Delhi or outside Delhi). They must upload educational testimonials, reserved category documents and the NEET UG 2026 scorecard.
  • Cut-off: Candidates must have secured the minimum NEET UG 2026 cut-off percentile and score as per NMC/DCI/NCISM regulations.
  • Class 12 marksheet (BHMS): Since the Class 12 result has been declared, candidates must upload their marksheet and valid reserved category certificates. Seats secured on the basis of a claimed category or region will be cancelled in the absence of valid or correct documents.
  • Choice filling is compulsory: Candidates who do not fill choices will not be considered for online allotment.
  • Enrolment first: Candidates must enrol for online counselling and then fill choices during the choice filling period.
  • Choices are locked at close: Once the choice filling period ends, the choices filled by the candidate will be used for allotment.
  • Save and print: Candidates should save their choices and take a printout for future reference.
  • BAMS edits: BAMS candidates will get the chance to edit, modify, add or delete preferences after allotment in the next round of counselling.
  • After the result: The university will notify the procedure to be followed after the result declaration in due course.

All other terms and conditions remain the same as in the Admission Brochure 2026-27. If any provision of the brochure conflicts with binding regulations or directions of the government or a statutory body, the higher norms will prevail.
