The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has announced a Special Round of online counselling 2026 for admission to vacant All India seats in MBBS and BDS courses. The notice (Advt. No. JCECEB/46/26-110) is dated October 23, 2026. It follows directives from the Department of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare, Government of Jharkhand.

• Laxmi Chandravansi Medical College & Hospital, Bishrampur, Palamu
• Netaji Subhas Medical College & Hospital, Adityapur, Seraikela-Kharsawan
• Sido Kanhu Medical College & Hospital, Dumka
• Birsa Institute of Medical Sciences, Khunti

BDS:

• Vananchal Dental College & Hospital, Garhwa (under Babu Dinesh Singh University)

Special Round schedule

• Online application submission: October 23, 2026 to October 25, 2026 (up to 3:00 PM). Eligible candidates can apply through the “Online Application Submission – JCECEB 2026” link on the Board’s website.
• Display of vacant seat matrix and publication of merit list for the Special Round: October 25, 2026
• Download of provisional seat allotment letter from the Board’s website: October 26, 2026

Who can apply

Eligible candidates on the basis of the All India Merit List can submit online applications. For age and educational eligibility criteria, candidates should refer to Advertisement No. JCECEB/46/26-52 & 53 dated 08.08.2026, available under the “Important Notice” section of the Board’s website.

Earlier merit lists are null and void

The Board has clarified that the merit lists published earlier for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Stray Vacancy Rounds of online counselling are null and void for this round. Candidates who want to take part in the Special Round must apply afresh, even if they applied in earlier rounds.

Next step after the merit list

The merit list prepared for the Special Round will be forwarded to the concerned college or university for admission.

• Submit a fresh online application before 3:00 PM on October 25, 2026.
• Check the vacant seat matrix and merit list on October 25.
• Download the provisional seat allotment letter on October 26.
