JEE Main 2025 Qualifying vs. Admission Cut-offs

The qualifying cut-off for JEE Main 2025 represents the minimum passing marks required to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2025. In contrast, the admission cut-off denotes the minimum rank needed for securing seats in National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) through JoSAA counselling.

Expected JEE Main 2025 Qualifying Cut-offs
Based on historical trends, the JEE Main 2025 cut-off is expected to rise across all categories:

  • EWS: 85+

  • OBC-NCL: 83+

  • SC: 65+

  • ST: 50+

Trends in JEE Main Passing Marks

Factors Influencing JEE Main 2025 Cut-off Percentile

Several factors will determine the JEE Main 2025 cut-off percentile:

  1. Number of Candidates: A higher number of candidates may lead to increased cut-offs.

  2. Exam Difficulty Level: Tougher exam papers generally result in lower cut-offs, while easier papers raise them.

  3. Available Seats: Limited seats in NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs can push cut-offs higher.

  4. Overall Candidate Performance: Strong overall performance, including more perfect scores, typically elevates cut-offs.

  5. Previous Trends: Historical data on cut-offs will also influence the 2025 benchmarks.
