The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has issued an important notice regarding corrections in the State Merit List prepared on the basis of the NEET UG 2026 result. The correction opportunity is available to candidates seeking changes in their category or other relevant particulars.

The notice, dated September 1, 2026, follows the Board’s earlier Advertisement No. JCECEB/46/26-47, issued on August 6, 2026, for preparation of the State Merit List for conducting the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Stray Vacancy rounds of online counselling for state quota seats in MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses.

JCECEB Merit List Correction: Who Can Apply?

The Board stated that representations will be considered only if they comply with the provisions mentioned under Clause 7 of the original advertisement.

For candidates seeking category-related corrections, JCECEB has clarified that ST, SC, BC-I (NCL), BC-II (NCL), and I&A (EWS) certificates will be accepted only when issued by an officer not below the rank of Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) of the Jharkhand State.

How to Submit the Correction Request?

Candidates whose names appeared in the State Merit Lists published on August 14, 2026, and who require corrections must submit a fresh application clearly mentioning the required correction(s). The application must be accompanied by the relevant supporting documents.
