The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has issued an important notice (Advt. No. JCECEB/46/26-97) about corrections in the State Merit List/Merit Lists based on the NEET (UG)-2026 result. Candidates already on the merit lists can now apply to correct their category and other particulars.

Why the Notice Was Issued

The Board had earlier published Advertisement No. JCECEB/46/26-47 dated August 6, 2026 and Advertisement Nos. JCECEB/46/26-52 and 53 dated August 8, 2026. These were for preparing the State Merit List/Merit Lists for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Stray Vacancy rounds of online counselling. The counselling covers State Quota/All India seats in MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses.

The Board has since received representations from some candidates asking for a chance to correct their category and other particulars. This notice is its response.

Who Should Apply

All candidates whose names appear in the State Merit List/Merit Lists published on September 28, 2026 and September 25, 2026 are directed to submit a fresh application if they need a correction.

What Can Be Corrected

Candidates must clearly mention the minor corrections required. The notice lists these examples:

• Date of Birth (D.O.B.)
• Gender
• Name
• Certificate updation: LRC of Jharkhand, Caste Certificate, and Income & Assets Certificate

Last Date and How to Apply

• Application window: October 11, 2026 to October 14, 2026, 6:00 PM
• Mode: by email to controller.jceceb@gmail.com
• What to send: the fresh application, with the requisite supporting documents attached

The Board has said that no request received after the stipulated date and time, or without the requisite supporting documents, will be entertained under any circumstances.

Certificate Rules to Note

• Only representations submitted in accordance with clause 7 of Advertisement No. JCECEB/46/26-47 dated August 6, 2026 will be considered.
• ST/SC/BCI (NCL)/BCII (NCL)/I&A (for EWS) certificates must be issued by an officer not below the level of Sub-divisional Officer (Civil) of the Jharkhand State. Certificates from any other authority will not be accepted.
