The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has released the revised schedule for Round 2 and Round 3 of Jharkhand NEET UG 2026 online counselling for admission to MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses.

The revised schedule was issued on September 17, 2026, following directions issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on September 14 regarding the NEET UG 2026 schedule for second and third rounds of state counselling. 

Jharkhand NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Revised Dates

For State Quota vacant seats, JCECEB has extended the Round 2 allotment and admission schedule. According to the updated timetable on page 1, the provisional seat allotment letter can now be issued/downloaded from September 12 to September 19, 2026, while document verification and admission at the concerned institute will also continue from September 12 to September 19.

Jharkhand NEET UG 2026 Round 3 Revised Schedule

The detailed Round 3 timetable appears on page 1 of the JCECEB notice and covers State Quota MBBS, BDS and BHMS counselling. For the notified 60% All India Quota and 15% NRI Quota seats in specified medical and dental colleges, the third-round schedule similarly begins with new registration from September 20 to 24, followed by the merit list and seat matrix on September 25, choice filling from September 28, and allotment/admission during October 9–14. 

Round 3 Upgradation Rules

JCECEB has clarified that candidates already admitted through Round 1 or Round 2 can participate in Round 3 if they wish to change their course or institution against remaining vacant seats.

If such a candidate receives a fresh seat in Round 3, admission to the newly allotted course and institute will be mandatory, and the earlier admission will automatically stand cancelled. Upgradation of course and institute will be permitted only up to the third round. 

Candidates whose names are already included in the State Merit List released on September 7, 2026 are not required to submit a new online application for Round 3.

JCECEB has also stated that a candidate admitted to a State Quota seat in Round 2 who later wishes to join an AIQ seat allotted in Round 3 must surrender the State Quota seat and submit resignation to the concerned institution by October 3, 2026. In such cases, the candidate’s security money will be forfeited.
