The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the B.A.M.S, B.H.M.S and B.U.M.S (AYUSH) seat matrix for 2026, dated 29 September 2026. It lists 4,578 seats in 66 colleges. The matrix gives college-wise seats by category, region and special quota, and candidates can use it to plan their choices for Karnataka AYUSH counselling.

Government Colleges in the Seat Matrix

Five government colleges are in the matrix:

• Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Bengaluru: 82 seats
• Government Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Mysuru: 84 seats
• Taranatha Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Ballari: 51 seats
• Government Ayurveda Medical College and Teaching Hospital, Shivamogga: 51 seats
• Government Homoeopathy Medical College and Hospital, Bengaluru (BHMS): 83 seats

The other 61 colleges are private unaided or private aided.

How the Seats Are Divided

The matrix splits seats by region and category:

• Regions: Seats are listed under HK (Kalyana Karnataka) and RK (Rest of Karnataka). Across both, 258 seats are in HK and 1,091 are in RK.
• Sections: General, Rural and Kannada medium
• Categories: C-1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, ST, SCA, SCB, SCC and GM
• Special category seats: NCC, sports (SPO), Defence, Ex-Defence, CAPF, Ex-CAPF, PH and Paramparika Vaidya

Several private BAMS and BHMS colleges have 100 seats each. Some colleges have fewer than 45, such as Anuradha Homoeopathic Medical College, Bengaluru, and Shetty Homoeopathic Medical College, Kalaburagi, with 30 seats each.
