The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially started the Round 2 option entry process for NEET UG 2025 counselling. Candidates seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, Ayurveda, and Homeopathy programmes can now enter or modify their college and course preferences through the official KEA website.

Study MBBS Abroad 2025-26, Fees 2 lakh Per Year.

This announcement follows the declaration of Round 1 seat allotment results on August 2, 2025.

Revised Seat Matrix & Caution Deposit

  • Revised Seat Matrix: KEA has released the updated seat availability for Round 2.
  • Caution Deposit: Eligible candidates must pay a refundable deposit of ₹1,00,000 by August 25, 2025.
  • Exemption: Candidates already allotted seats in Round 1 need not pay again. For fresh participants, the deposit will be adjusted against tuition fees once a seat is allotted.

KEA has advised aspirants to review the revised matrix carefully and complete formalities within the given deadlines to avoid disqualification.

Steps to Complete Option Entry

  1. Visit the official KEA website: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
  2. Go to the Admissions section and select UGNEET 2025.
  3. Click on the Round 2 Option Entry link.
  4. Log in using your credentials.
  5. Enter, modify, reorder, or delete your preferred colleges and courses.
  6. Save and download the confirmation page for future use.

Note: Candidates who fail to log in and submit preferences will be considered uninterested, and their Round 1 seat allotments will be cancelled.

Round 2 Seat Allotment & Next Steps

  • Provisional Seat Allotment Result: August 29, 2025 (after 1 PM).
  • Candidate Choices Post Allotment:
    • Accept the seat and report to the allotted college.
    • Withdraw from the counselling process.
    • Opt for upgradation in further rounds.

This flexibility allows students to make informed decisions while keeping future options open.
