Bengaluru, September 23, 2026 - The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the schedule for the 3rd round of online seat allotment for UG Medical and Dental courses under UGNEET 2026. The notice (No. ED/KEA/CR-11/UGNEET/2026) confirms that seats left vacant after the 2nd round - published on the KEA website on September 17, 2026 - along with any cancelled or newly added seats, will be offered in this round.
Who Can Participate
- Candidates not allotted any medical/dental seat in Round 1 or Round 2
- Candidates who cancelled their seat by paying the penalty
- Candidates already reported to a college, eligible for upgradation (as per recent High Court orders)
Who Cannot Participate
- Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 or 2 but who failed to exercise their choice
- Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 or 2 under Choice-4

Option Entry Window: 11:00 AM, September 25, 2026 to 11:00 AM, September 29, 2026. All candidates must enter fresh options - previously submitted choices from earlier rounds will not carry forward.
Key Instructions for Candidates
- Enter options for all courses of interest, even those not currently shown in the seat matrix, since consequential vacancies may open up during allotment.
- Seat allotment is final and based strictly on merit and entered option order - candidates cannot claim ignorance or reject allotted seats.
- Candidates already reported to a college who seek upgradation will permanently lose their current seat once a new seat is allotted in Round 3 - there is no reverting to the earlier seat.
- If a candidate gets no seat in Round 3, their earlier-round allotment (if any) stands confirmed.
- Candidates allotted a seat must pay fees and complete admission with original documents by the deadline, or face legal action.
