Bengaluru, September 25, 2026: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued a corrigendum (No. ED/KEA/CR-11/UGNEET/2026) to its earlier publication dated September 23, 2026, revising eligibility norms for the UGNEET-2026 3rd round seat allotment process. The changes have been made in view of the ongoing nationwide bank strike.

Eligibility to Participate in Round 3

As per the corrigendum, the following candidates are eligible to participate in the 3rd round of counseling:

1. Candidates not allotted any medical or dental seat in the 1st and 2nd rounds.
2. Candidates who cancelled their allotted medical/dental seat by paying the applicable penalty.
3. Candidates allotted a medical/dental seat in Round 1 and who selected Choice-4.
4. Candidates who exercised the 'QUIT' option before the final results of the 2nd round.
5. Candidates who have already reported to medical/dental colleges and wish to participate for up-gradation, in accordance with recent Hon'ble High Court orders.

Candidates NOT Eligible for Round 3

KEA has clarified that candidates who were allotted a medical or dental seat in the 1st or 2nd round but failed to exercise a choice will not be eligible to participate in the 3rd round.

Important Deadline

• Last date for payment of caution deposit for medical and dental courses: October 1, 2026

The authority has also clarified that no other changes have been made to the original publication dated September 23, 2026. The corrigendum has been issued under the signature of the Executive Director, KEA.
