The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued an update on the KEA UGNEET 2026 stray vacancy round for medical and dental seats. In a notice dated October 15, 2026, KEA said it will allow some more candidates to take part in the online stray vacancy round.
What Has Changed in the KEA UGNEET 2026 Stray Vacancy Round?
Some candidates who do not currently hold a medical seat had asked to be included in the stray vacancy round. KEA has accepted these requests. These candidates can now take part, provided they pay the Medical Course Fee Deposit that KEA notified on October 8, 2026.

- Last date to pay the Medical Course Fee Deposit: 11:00 AM on October 19, 2026
- Last date to enter options: extended to 1:00 PM on October 19, 2026
Who Can Benefit?
The update is for candidates who are not holding any medical seat at present. They can join the stray vacancy round only after paying the Medical Course Fee Deposit within the time limit. Candidates who miss the deadline will not be able to take part in this round.

- Pay the Medical Course Fee Deposit before 11:00 AM on October 19, 2026.
- Enter and confirm options before 1:00 PM on October 19, 2026.
