Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana, has issued a notification on free exit from the MBBS course for candidates admitted under the Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2026-27. The notification is dated October 5, 2026, and is signed by the Registrar. Candidates who were admitted up to the second phase of counselling can leave the course without penalty until 2:00 PM on October 8, 2026.

Free Exit Rules for Candidates

  • All candidates admitted up to the second phase of counselling under the Competent Authority Quota can take the free exit.
  • To discontinue, a candidate must apply to the Principal of the college.
  • A candidate who discontinues by the deadline pays no penalty.
  • A candidate who discontinues the course will not be eligible for further rounds of counselling under the Competent Authority Quota for MBBS in the academic year 2026-27.
  • The penalty clause applies to any discontinuation after 2:00 PM on October 8, 2026, as per Government Orders.

Instructions for Medical College Principals

  • Return all original certificates and the entire fee paid to candidates who opted for free exit. This must be done immediately.
  • Upload the data to the admission portal by 2:30 PM on October 8, 2026, without fail.

  • Decide before the deadline whether you want to keep your MBBS seat.
  • If you want to leave without penalty, apply to your college Principal before 2:00 PM on October 8, 2026.
  • Remember that leaving the course means you cannot take part in the later rounds under the Competent Authority Quota for MBBS this year.
