Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana, has issued a notification dated 13 October 2026 on free exit from the MBBS course for candidates admitted under the Management Quota for the academic year 2026-27. The last date for free exit is 5:00 PM on 14 October 2026.

Who Is Covered

• All candidates admitted up to the second phase of counselling under the Management Quota for 2026-27 into the MBBS course
• Candidates admitted in the medical colleges affiliated to KNRUHS and Neelima Institute of Medical Sciences (affiliated to Anurag University)

Free Exit Rules

• Last date and time for free exit: 5:00 PM on 14 October 2026
• Candidates may discontinue the admitted MBBS course by applying to the Principal for discontinuation, without any penalty
• Candidates who discontinue the course will not be eligible for further rounds of counselling under the Management Quota for MBBS for the academic year 2026-27
• The penalty clause will apply for discontinuation after 5:00 PM on 14 October 2026, as per Government Orders

Exception for Candidates Upgraded to Convener Quota

• If a candidate admitted to MBBS under the Management Quota (MQ) is upgraded to an MBBS course under the Convener Quota (CQ) during the Mop-up Phase of counselling, after the free exit facility closes, no penalty will be imposed for discontinuing the MBBS course under the Management Quota

Instructions for Colleges

• Principals of medical colleges must return all original certificates and the entire fee paid immediately to the candidates who opted for free exit
• Colleges must upload the data to the admission portal by 5:30 PM on 14 October 2026 without fail

What Candidates Should Do

• Candidates who wish to leave their Management Quota MBBS seat without penalty should submit an application to the Principal before 5:00 PM on 14 October 2026
• Candidates should note that opting for free exit means they cannot take part in further Management Quota counselling rounds for MBBS this year
• Keep checking the KNRUHS website for further notifications on counselling
