The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has released the schedule for CAP Round 2 and CAP Round 3 for admission to BAMS, BHMS and BUMS (Group B) courses for the academic year 2026-27. The schedule has been issued through Notice No. 20 (NEET-UG-2026), dated October 5, 2026.

As per the notice, CAP Round 1 for Group B courses was completed under Notice No. 16 dated September 14, 2026. Following the schedule given by NCISM and NCH for All India Quota and State counselling, the CET Cell will now conduct CAP Round 2 to fill the seats that remain vacant after Round 1.

Maharashtra BAMS, BHMS, BUMS CAP Round 2 Schedule 2026

  • Publication of seat matrix for CAP Round 2: October 5, 2026
  • Online choice/preference form filling: October 5, 2026 to October 8, 2026 (up to 12:00 noon)
  • Declaration of CAP Round 2 selection list: October 9, 2026
  • Physical joining at allotted college with original documents and requisite fees by DD: October 10, 2026 to October 14, 2026 (up to 5:30 PM)

Payment by cheque is allowed on bank holidays, but it must be replaced by a demand draft (DD) on the next working day. If a candidate fails to submit the DD on the next working day, the admission may be cancelled.

  • Online registration and session apply: October 15, 2026 to October 18, 2026 (up to 5:00 PM)
  • Payment of registration fees through online payment gateway: October 15, 2026 to October 18, 2026 (up to 8:00 PM)
  • Upload of coloured scanned copies of original documents: October 15, 2026 to October 18, 2026 (up to 11:00 PM)
  • Online document verification for newly registered candidates: October 15, 2026 to October 19, 2026
  • Publication of combined registered candidate list: October 20, 2026
  • Publication of combined provisional merit list: October 20, 2026
  • Submission of grievances, if any: October 21, 2026 to October 22, 2026 (up to 6:00 PM)
  • Publication of combined final merit list: October 24, 2026
  • Publication of seat matrix for CAP Round 3: October 24, 2026
  • Online preference form filling for CAP Round 3: October 25, 2026 to October 27, 2026 (up to 11:59 PM)
  • Declaration of CAP Round 3 selection list: October 29, 2026
  • Physical joining and filling of status retention form with original documents and fees by DD/cheque: October 30, 2026 to November 3, 2026 (up to 5:30 PM)

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • A candidate will be treated as registered for Round 3 only after successful payment of the registration fee.
  • Candidates must click the "submit" button after uploading all documents, otherwise the form will be rejected.
  • Candidates who fail to upload and submit the requisite documents will not be considered for the admission process or from the claimed category.
  • Grievances must be supported by relevant document proof. No changes will be entertained without supportive documents.
  • Candidates who have joined status up to CAP Round 2 in AIQ rounds (State and Central) and are allotted a seat in CAP Round 3 of AIQ will be weeded out from the CAP Round 3 selection list, even if they have filled their choices.
  • Candidates participating in both AIQ (State or Central) and State counselling should note that those allotted a seat through AIQ in CAP Round 3 will not be allotted a seat in State counselling CAP Round 3.
  • Preferences should be filled carefully, as joining the allotted seat is mandatory once it is allotted.

The schedule for subsequent stray vacancy rounds will be declared in due course. The schedule is subject to change as per directions of authorities such as MCC, AACCC, the Central Government, the State Government or the Hon'ble Court. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website, mahacet.org, for notifications and updates.
