In Notice No. 26 dated October 15, 2026, the cell said candidates allotted seats in CAP Round 3 for MBBS and BDS (Group A) courses can now report to their colleges until 3:00 PM on October 16, 2026.

Why Was the Joining Date Extended?

The original last date for joining the allotted college through CAP Round 3 for the academic year 2026-27 was October 14, 2026. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) later extended the reporting deadline for CAP Round 3 up to October 16, 2026. The Maharashtra CET Cell has now revised its own deadline to match, referring to the MCC notice dated October 14, 2026.

The CET Cell has also cancelled the earlier schedule for the Online Stray Vacancy Round(s), which was published in Notice No. 23 dated October 12, 2026. A revised schedule will be published soon. The notice does not say when.

• Report to the allotted college by 3:00 PM on October 16, 2026, to confirm admission under CAP Round 3.
• Keep the original documents and allotment letter ready for reporting.
• Do not rely on the old stray vacancy round dates, as that schedule no longer applies.
• Check the official State CET Cell website, www.mahacet.org, for the revised schedule and other updates.

The CET Cell has asked all candidates and institutes to take note of the extension.
