Maharashtra NEET UG 2026: Provisional MBBS & BDS Seat Matrix Released
The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra has released the Provisional Seat Matrix for MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2026-27 under NEET (UG) admissions. The seat matrix, issued on August 25, 2026, includes Government, Government-Aided, Corporation, Private and Minority medical and dental colleges participating under Group A.
The provisional matrix provides candidates with a college-wise and category-wise breakdown of available seats ahead of the Maharashtra NEET UG Centralized Admission Process (CAP) counselling rounds.

- The seat matrix covers MBBS and BDS courses across Government and Private institutions.
- 42 Government MBBS colleges and 23 Private MBBS colleges are included in the provisional matrix.
- For BDS, the matrix includes 5 Government colleges and 23 Private colleges.
- The matrix provides category-wise seat details for SC, ST, VJ, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, OBC, SEBC, EWS and Open categories.
- Special reservation details are also provided for PWD, Orphan (ORP/ORPC), General Hilly Area (GEN HA) and Women Hilly Area (WOMEN HA) candidates.
- Government MBBS colleges account for approximately 5,950 seats, while Private MBBS colleges have 3,149 seats as per the provisional data.
- Government BDS colleges have 376 seats, while Private BDS colleges account for 2,200 seats.
- The matrix also includes minority institutions, including Indian Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Jalna (Muslim Minority) and M. A. Rangoonwala Dental College, Pune (Muslim Minority).

Important Points Mentioned by CET Cell
The seat matrix is provisional and may be revised based on updates received from respective institutes, MUHS Nashik, NMC, DCI, or directions issued by the courts or State/Central Government.
The CET Cell Commissioner also reserves the right to modify the seat matrix before the final seat allotment during the CAP counselling process.
Furthermore, seats will be allotted only after the concerned college receives the required affiliation from MUHS, Nashik, or the respective council.
