The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has issued Notice No. 15 regarding admission to MBBS/BDS (Group-A) courses in Private University Colleges through CAP Round 2 for the academic year 2026-27.

As per the notice, the following three colleges have been included in CAP Round 2:

• Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation’s Medical College, Ahilyanagar
• N.K.P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur
• Ranjit Deshmukh Dental College and Research Centre, Nagpur 

Seat Distribution

The notice states that 40% of the total intake will be reserved for Maharashtra State Domicile candidates, while the remaining 60% will be filled on an All India basis. Of the 60% All India seats, up to 15% may be reserved for NRI candidates.

Preference-Filling Rules

• Maharashtra State candidates: Can fill preferences for State Quota (40%), AIQ (45%) and NRI Quota. NRI seats will be available from CAP Round 3.
• Outside Maharashtra (OMS) candidates: Can fill preferences for AIQ (45%) and NRI Quota. NRI seats will be available from CAP Round 3.
• NRI candidates: Can fill preferences only for the 15% NRI Quota and are not eligible for other quotas.

Preference Filling Deadline Extended

The CET Cell has extended the CAP Round 2 preference-filling process until 10:00 AM on September 12, 2026. Candidates who have already submitted their preferences can unlock them through their login and make changes or corrections within the prescribed deadline.
