The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State, Mumbai has issued Notice No. 11 dated 25 August 2026 regarding the admission process for MBBS/BDS (Group-A) courses for the academic year 2026–27.

According to the notice, three private medical/dental colleges have initiated the process for establishment as private universities:

1. Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation’s Medical College, Ahilyanagar
2. N.K.P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur
3. Ranjit Deshmukh Dental College and Research Centre, Nagpur

These colleges will participate in a subsequent admission round for MBBS/BDS courses after completing all necessary formalities for establishment of the respective private universities. Therefore, the three colleges will not participate in the First Admission Round.

Key Points for Candidates

After obtaining recognition/approval as private universities, the colleges will be subject to the applicable provisions of Clause 9.3 of the NEET UG 2026 Information Brochure:

• 40% of institutional seats will be reserved for candidates holding a Maharashtra Domicile Certificate.
• Fees determined by the Fee Fixation Committee constituted by the respective private university will be applicable.
• Candidates admitted to these colleges will not be eligible for scholarships or fee reimbursement schemes of the Government.

Candidates participating in the Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 admission process are advised to take note of these changes and plan their choices accordingly.
