The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released an important notice for PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates participating in NEET UG Counselling 2026, following the revised National Medical Commission (NMC) PwBD Guidelines 2026. The notice outlines the eligibility certificate process, mandatory documents, and the role of designated Medical Assessment Boards.

Eligibility Certificate Mandatory for PwBD Quota

Candidates seeking admission under the PwBD category must visit one of the designated MCC Medical Assessment Boards to obtain an Eligibility Certificate. They are required to submit the following documents:

• NEET UG 2026 Score Card
• Permanent UDID Card issued by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD)
• Self-certified affidavit declaring functional abilities (Schedule-I)
• Self-certification affidavit and disability-specific affidavit in the formats prescribed by NMC (Appendix A to F)

Key Instructions for Candidates

• Only candidates who obtain an Eligibility Certificate from an MCC-designated Medical Assessment Board will be eligible to exercise choices for PwBD seats during NEET UG 2026 counselling.
• If any UDID Card or affidavit is found to be fake, the candidate's allotted seat will be cancelled and legal action will be initiated.
• The Eligibility Certificate will remain valid only for the current academic session.
• Candidates applying for 85% State Quota PwBD seats may obtain certificates from their respective State Medical Assessment Boards, which must follow the NMC 2026 Guidelines.

The notice also includes the updated list of designated Disability Certification Centres and Medical Assessment Boards across the country for PwBD evaluation under the revised NMC guidelines.
