NEET UG 2025 resignation window extended to Sept 29.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, has announced an extension for the resignation facility for NEET UG 2025 candidates who have been allotted seats in Round-1 or Round-2.

Originally, the resignation window was set to close on September 24, 2025. Following requests from students seeking more time, the deadline has now been extended to 6:00 PM on September 29, 2025.
Important Guidelines for Resignation:
- Round-1 Candidates: Those who were not upgraded in Round-2 can resign without losing their security deposit if done by the extended deadline.
- Fresh Round-2 Allottees: Candidates who joined their allotted seat in Round-2 but wish to resign can do so, though their security deposit will be forfeited.
- Upgraded Round-2 Candidates: Students who joined an upgraded seat but now wish to resign may also do so, with forfeiture of the security deposit.
- Procedure: Candidates must report in person at their allotted college to complete the resignation process. The college will generate the online Resignation Letter through the MCC portal. Resignations not processed this way will be considered invalid.
This extension provides candidates with additional time to make informed decisions regarding their medical admissions for the 2025 session.
