Choice filling opened at 4:00 PM on the day MCC released the notice, giving candidates the green signal to begin building their preference list for MBBS, BDS, and other UG medical and dental seats offered under the All India Quota.
What Choice Filling Means for You
Once you're registered and eligible, choice filling is where you actually decide your future you pick the colleges, courses, and categories you want, and rank them in the order you'd accept them. MCC then matches this list against your NEET UG rank, subject to seat availability, to allot you a seat.
In short: your rank gets you in the race, but your choice order decides where you land.
Round 1 Steps: What to Do
- Log in to the official MCC counselling portal using your registered credentials.
- Explore the list of participating institutes and courses under the All India Quota.
- Arrange your choices carefully allotment strictly follows the order you set, so put your most-wanted options first.
- Add as many choices as you can. A short list lowers your chances of getting any allotment at all.
- Save frequently while filling your choices, so you don't lose your progress.
- Lock your choices before the deadline. Unlocked choices may get auto-locked by the portal once time runs out.
- Save a copy take a screenshot or printout of your final locked list for your records.
Before You Lock: Key Reminders
- Locked choices usually can't be changed for that round, so double-check every college and course code before confirming.
- Keep your NEET UG 2026 scorecard, category certificate, and other required documents ready you'll need them for document verification and admission.
- MCC will announce seat allotment results, reporting schedules, and details of the next round separately once choice filling closes.
