MCC NEET UG Round 1 Resignation Facility Opens for FREEZE Candidates
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India, has issued Notice No. 16, dated August 31, 2026, regarding the Resignation/Seat Withdrawal facility for Round 1 of UG Counselling 2026.
The facility is available specifically for candidates who selected the FREEZE option, joined their Round 1 allotted seat through MCC counselling and now wish to resign or withdraw from the allotted seat.

Important Instructions
Candidates who wish to resign from their Round 1 seat must physically report to the allotted medical/dental college and complete the resignation formalities within the specified timeline.
MCC has clarified that resignation made within the prescribed window will be processed without forfeiture of the Security Deposit.
The Nodal Officer of the allotted institute must generate the Resignation Letter/Seat Withdrawal Slip online through the MCC portal. Candidates should ensure that the slip is successfully generated.
If the online resignation/withdrawal slip is not generated by the institute’s Nodal Officer, the resignation will be considered “Null & Void.”
MCC NEET UG 2026 Candidates Advised to Follow Deadline
Eligible FREEZE candidates should complete the resignation process within the prescribed deadline and carefully follow the instructions issued by MCC to avoid any complications.
