MCC NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Resignation Facility Opens, Last Date September 15

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened the resignation/seat withdrawal facility for Round 1 FLOAT candidates of NEET UG Counselling 2026. The facility applies to candidates who had joined their Round 1 allotted seat through MCC counselling, did not get upgraded in Round 2 and continued with their Round 1 seat, but now wish to resign or withdraw.

As per MCC Notice No. 22 dated September 13, 2026, eligible candidates can resign from their Round 1 joined seat in online mode from 2:00 PM on September 13, 2026, until 6:00 PM on September 15, 2026. Resignations submitted within this window will be allowed without forfeiture of the security deposit.

Candidates who want to resign must log in to their MCC account and complete the seat withdrawal process online. They must also ensure that the Seat Withdrawal Slip/Resignation Letter is generated through the MCC portal. If the online withdrawal slip is not generated, the resignation will be treated as “Null & Void.”

MCC has further clarified that any resignation submitted after 6:00 PM on September 15, 2026, will result in forfeiture of the security deposit. Candidates are therefore advised to complete the withdrawal process within the prescribed deadline.
