The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued Notice No-26 about candidates who did not physically report to their allotted colleges after Round 3. The notice is dated October 11, 2026. What the MCC notice says

  • The notice covers two groups of candidates after Round 3 reporting:

    • Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 3
  • As per the counselling bulletin, these candidates had to join the allotted college physically.
  • The candidates on the list did not report physically to the allotted college.
  • The reporting time under the schedule ended on October 9, 2026, so these candidates can no longer claim the seats.

Why physical reporting matters

The MCC counselling bulletin requires candidates who are retained under the float option, or who get a fresh seat in a round, to report to the allotted college in person. This applies to candidates who choose to stay with a retained seat, since the seat is kept only if the candidate joins the college. Candidates who miss the physical reporting window lose the right to the seat.
