The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued an important notice for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) participating in NEET UG 2026 counselling under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ). Eligible candidates are advised to carefully follow the PwBD guidelines and complete the required verification process before participating in seat allotment.

As per the counselling schedule, Round 1 registration for NEET UG 2026 counselling will be open from August 5 to August 12, 2026 (up to 3:00 PM), while choice filling will continue from August 6 to August 13, 2026, with choice locking on August 12–13. The Round 1 seat allotment process will be conducted on August 13–16, followed by reporting to allotted institutes from August 18–22, 2026.

Candidates claiming reservation under the PwBD category should ensure that all disability-related certificates and required documents are valid and submitted as per MCC guidelines. Failure to complete the verification process within the stipulated timeline may affect eligibility for PwBD reservation during counselling.

MCC has advised all eligible candidates to regularly check official notifications and complete every counselling step within the prescribed deadlines to avoid last-minute issues.
