Meghalaya Round 2 MBBS Counselling for PA Sangma International Medical College Begins September 5
The Directorate of Health Services, Medical Education & Research (DME), Government of Meghalaya, has invited online applications for Round 2 counselling for admission to the 1st-year MBBS course at PA Sangma International Medical College & Hospital, Baridua, Ri-Bhoi, for the academic session 2026-27.
The counselling will be conducted for State Quota, Management Quota and NRI Quota seats. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria and have qualified NEET UG 2026 can apply within the specified timeline.

A total of 87 vacant MBBS seats are available across different quotas following Round 1 counselling.

NEET UG 2026 Minimum Qualifying Criteria
Candidates must meet the applicable NEET UG 2026 qualifying percentile and score requirements.

Eligibility Criteria
State Quota: Applicants must fulfil the prescribed Meghalaya domicile/PRC and category requirements. The required PCB aggregate is 50% for General candidates and 40% for ST/SC/OST candidates.
Management Quota: The Management Quota is open to eligible Indian citizens who satisfy the prescribed academic and NEET requirements.
NRI Quota: NRI applicants must submit the required NRI status documents, including a certificate issued by the Indian Diplomatic Mission, and comply with the applicable MCC guidelines.
All candidates must have qualified NEET UG 2026 and must have attained 17 years of age by December 31, 2026. A medical fitness certificate issued through the prescribed medical board is also required.

SC/OST/ST candidates under the State Quota are exempt from the applicable counselling fee. Candidates who participated in Round 1 can reapply without paying the application fee again.

Documents Required
Candidates should keep the following documents ready for verification:
- NEET UG 2026 Score Card and Admit Card
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
- Age proof
- Domicile/PRC, wherever applicable
- ST/SC certificates, if applicable
- Passport-size photographs
- Medical fitness certificate
- NRI status proof, passport, visa and sponsorship documents for NRI candidates
- Other affidavits/documents prescribed under the applicable MCC guidelines
Freeze and Float Options
As per the applicable counselling guidelines, candidates opting for Freeze will be required to complete the admission formalities and physically report as instructed. Candidates choosing Float can retain their allotted seat while remaining eligible for upgradation in subsequent rounds, subject to the applicable rules.
Warning Against False Documents
The authority has cautioned candidates against submitting fake or fabricated documents, including false ST/SC/OST or PRC certificates. Such cases may result in cancellation of admission, debarment from State Government quota courses for three years and legal/criminal action against the candidate and their parents/guardians.
