MP NEET UG 2026: Resignation Extended, MOP-Up Round Schedule Out. Stay updated with the latest counselling timeline.
The Office of the Commissioner, Medical Education, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, has issued two important notices for the MP State Combined Counselling NEET UG 2026-27: an extension of the resignation window for admitted candidates of Round 2, and the tentative time schedule for the MOP-Up Round for MBBS/BDS admissions. Both notices were issued on 21.09.2026 by the Director, Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh.
Extension of Resignation Window (Second Round)
As per the notice, considering the new time schedule declared by MCC, the resignation window for Second Round State Counselling has been extended and will remain open from 22.09.2026 to 01.10.2026 (up to 6:00 PM).
Key points for candidates:
- Admitted candidates willing to resign must report in person to their respective college of admission for online resignation.
- As per applicable rules, a penalty of Rs. 2 Lakhs will apply for non-NRI candidates, and Rs. 10 Lakhs for NRI candidates who resign.
- Candidates who resign under this window will not be eligible to participate in subsequent rounds of State UG Counselling.
MOP-Up Round: Tentative Time Schedule for MBBS & BDS
The Commissioner's office has also released the tentative schedule for the MOP-Up Round of MP State Combined NEET UG Counselling (MBBS/BDS) 2026, as follows:

Important note: As per Rule 15(1)(ज), a seat-leaving bond will be applicable on candidates who resign after the commencement of the MOP-Up Round.
What Candidates Should Keep in Mind
- Candidates considering resignation from their Round 2 allotted seat should weigh the financial penalty carefully, as it is substantial and comes with disqualification from future rounds.
- Fresh registration for the MOP-Up Round is mandatory only for candidates not already registered.
- All participating candidates in the MOP-Up Round must fill fresh choices - previous round choices will not carry forward.
- Candidates should track the schedule closely, as it is explicitly marked tentative and may be revised.
