National Medical Commission Reopens Eligibility Certificate Application Portal (April 6–13, 2026)
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced an additional opportunity for students to apply online for the Eligibility Certificate through its Ethics & Medical Registration Board (EMRB).
According to an official notice dated April 1, 2026, this decision comes after several candidates reported technical difficulties that prevented them from submitting their applications within the earlier deadline of March 31, 2026.
As per the revised schedule, the online application portal will reopen on April 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM and will remain accessible until April 13, 2026, up to 6:00 PM. Candidates can submit their applications through the official NMC portal.
The commission has emphasized that incomplete applications will be rejected, and no responsibility will be taken for such cases. Applicants are advised not to wait until the last date and to carefully fill out the form to avoid delays or rejection.
Additionally, NMC has urged candidates to regularly check their registered email IDs and the online portal for updates regarding their application status, as the issuance of Eligibility Certificates involves multiple verification steps.
This move is expected to provide relief to many aspiring medical students whose applications were previously delayed due to technical issues, ensuring they do not miss out on crucial academic opportunities.
