The National Testing Agency has issued an important advisory for students appearing in the NEET UG 2026 examination scheduled on 3 May 2026. The notice highlights the official dress code and permissible items allowed inside examination centres to ensure smooth and secure conduct of the exam.

According to the advisory, candidates can carry transparent water bottles inside the examination hall. Students wearing customary religious articles or objects of faith are advised to report early at the centre for frisking procedures.

NTA has also clarified that although light clothing is preferred, candidates may wear full sleeves or woollens if required, provided they arrive well in advance for checking. Slippers and low-heel footwear are the recommended choices for exam day.

The agency has urged all candidates to follow the guidelines carefully and cooperate with authorities for a hassle-free examination experience.
