The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is set to release the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) December 2024 score card for all qualified candidates. Although the score card was originally scheduled for release on or after January 27, it has not yet been uploaded on the official website, natboard.edu.in.
Out of 44,390 candidates who appeared for the exam, 13,149 have qualified, while 31,236 candidates did not pass. NBEMS will distribute FMGE pass certificates in person to all qualified candidates after completing identity and credential verification.
NBEMS has clarified that candidates cannot use the FMGE score card issued on its website to seek registration with a State Medical Council.
FMGE 2024 Results and Withheld Cases
According to the FMGE December 2024 results, NBEMS has withheld the results of seven candidates. Their results remain subject to the NBEMS Examination Ethics Committee's review, investigation of unfair means cases, court matters, or security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), as applicable.
To qualify for medical practice in India, candidates must score at least 150 marks out of 300. NBEMS will issue the pass certificate within four weeks after the result declaration. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, this timeline may vary.
